Six players to face RFL Disciplinary Committee

Six players will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday evening to answer charges brought following incidents in their teams’ Engage Super League Round 23 fixtures.
Harlequins RL player David Howell has been charged with a Grade E offence for biting Catalan Dragons opponent Remy Marginet in the 80th minute of Saturday’s 48-22 victory for the French side. Harlequins RL player Oliver Wilkes will also face the RFL Disciplinary Committee following a Grade B late challenge on Marginet in the 34th minute.
St Helens hooker James Roby has been charged with a Grade A offence for a dangerous throw on Castleford Tigers player Kirk Dixon in the 35th minute of Sunday’s 46-26 victory for St Helens. Castleford Tigers forward John Davies has been charged with Grade B dangerous contact on James Roby in the 28th minute.
Warrington Wolves hooker Micky Higham has been charged with a Grade B offence for dangerous contact with Bradford Bulls’ Paul Sykes in the 64th minute of Sunday’s 64-6 victory for the Wolves.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player Liam Higgins has been charged with a Grade B offence for a high tackle on Crusaders player Jordan James in the 6th minute of Sunday’s 40-6 defeat for the Wildcats.
The Match Review Panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:
• Eorl Crabtree (Huddersfield Giants) – leading with the knee on contact with Hull KR’s Michael Vella in the 1st minute.
• Ryan Atkins (Warrington Wolves) – dangerous contact with Bradford Bulls’ Elliot Whitehead in the 59th minute.
The cautions will remain on the players’ record and could be considered in the event of future disciplinary breaches.
