Match Preview and Squad announcement

Ormeno set for return

Bruno Ormeno could boost Toulouse coach Gilles Dumas by being declared fit for Saturday's Northern Rail Cup quarter-final against Halifax.

Dumas' ranks have been boosted in recent weeks by the returns of Josh Lewis and Damien Couturier.

Now Ormeno could return as Olympique look to halt a run of three consecutive defeats.

However, Rory Bromley remains sidelined with an Achilles tendon problem and Craig Cook (knee) is also unavailable.

Dumas knows his side must make major improvements from last week's 56-18 defeat against Featherstone.

He said: "We were outplayed in every department and our continual lack of basic rugby principles, plus the unacceptably high amount of errors, gave ourselves little hope of breaking down a strong opposition."

Defeat for Halifax would pile the pressure on coach Matt Calland.

The Co-operative Championship champions have suffered three defeats from their three league fixtures this season.

Their latest loss - a 41-22 reverse against Sheffield - was described by Calland as "a massive step backwards".

Calland said: "We looked like a team lacking in confidence and definitely lacking in form."

He added: "We are miles off where we need to be."
