Carnegie Floodlit 9s set to rock Headingley

The Carnegie Floodlit 9s is poised to set The Headingley Carnegie Stadium alight on Wednesday August 25 when twelve Rugby League teams battle it out to become 2010 Champions.
The event which kicks off at 4.00pm, will also host Rugby League’s Fastest Man Sprint Challenge as well as a Cheerleaders Tag Tournament.
The twelve sides taking part boast some of the most exciting talent in British Rugby League, as well as an exciting Jamaican outfit and Welsh and Scottish International line ups.
Current holders Hull FC will defend their title, but will face stiff opposition from Wigan Warriors and Jamaica in their group.
Chris Bridge has been named in the Warrington Wolves line up, after returning from injury and will give his side that extra bit of pace needed to succeed.
Leeds Rhinos, on home soil, include Kallum Watkins in their squad after the youngster recovered from a knee injury sustained against Huddersfield in March.
The bookies have got Hull FC down as favourites, but Wakefield Wildcats and Bradford Bulls have named very strong squads, including many of their starting Super League players.
Rugby League’s Fastest Man Sprint Challenge will also catch the headlines on the night. Leeds Rhinos’ Jamal Chisholm will defend his 2009 title, but will face tough opposition from Saints’ speedster Daniel Brotherton.
