York City Knights Coach James Ratcliffe has named a strong squad for Thursday's eagerly anticipated match against the Hunslet Hawks, 7:30pm kick off. The Knights are looking to build on Friday's win over Hull KR and Sunday's excellent win over Castleford Tigers in the Paul Higgins memorial match, in which a young Knights team fought back from 30-10 down to win 36-30. Ratcliffe said that selecting the Knights strongest team will be extremely difficult and urged the whole squad to continue to perform and work hard in training. Ratcliffe said:

"Places are up for grabs. Myself, Mick and Chris have been impressed with a number of players and Thursday's game will give us another chance to see certain people. A number of players have only had one game to date and they will be looking forward to another hit out".

 

Form duo Lee Waterman and Brett Waller will again play a part in the match with Waterman likely to revert to the centres where he has looked impressive so far. Steve Lewis, Mike Mitchell, Chris Thorman, Casey Bromilow, Luke Helliwell, Joe McLocklan, Alex Benson, Chris Clough Jordan Ross, Danny Hill and Richard Blakeway will also be given their second outing of the season.

Turnstiles will open at 6:30pm and supporters with tickets can access Bar 13 from 5:30pm via the Courtney's reception. From 6:30pm access to the ground is through the turnstiles only.

Supporters can also purchase tickets for the Leeds Rhinos friendly on Wednesday 10th February for just £5 for an adult. These will be available at the merchandise stall inside the main turnstiles (near the kiosk). Please note this is a special offer which is only available at this game. This match is free for U16's with tickets that will also be available inside the ground.
