Stamperland Pipe Band to head up Scottish National Anthem

Scotland Rugby League’s Bravehearts will receive a huge boost at the news that the award winning 30 piece Stamperland Pipe Band will be supporting the squad by playing ‘Flower of Scotland’ at the before their clash with Lebanon this Sunday 1st November 2009 at Old Anniesland, Glasgow.
The Band of the 231st Glasgow Company of The Boys’ Brigade was formed in 1973 under the direction of Pipe Major Jim McGregor. The current Pipe Major, Iain Fulton took over the band in 2003 when his predecessor Graham Paterson resigned due to work commitments.
The Band, over the last five years has grown and attracted new members. Stamperland Pipe Band was re-launched with a concert – “A night in with the Lads” in October 2006..
Tickets for Scotland’s home rugbyleague.com European Cup game match against Lebanon at Anniesland, Glasgow on Sunday November 1 at 3:00pm are available on the gate and cost £10 for adults, with concessions at £5 and kids £1.
