Kinch to headline pre-match entertainment
Leeds-based band Kinch will headline the pre-match entertainment at this year’s Co-operative Championship Finals Day at The Halliwell Jones Stadium this Sunday.
The four-piece band who performed at this year’s Leeds and Reading festivals shot to prominence after their debut album entitled ‘Old Fashioned Love / Everybody’s Talking About It’ reached number seven in the UK indie singles chart.
Providing support to Kinch will be award winning opera singer Donna-Marie Povey and the up-and-coming covers band Funky Monks.
Soprano Donna-Marie Povey first appeared on our screens as a finalist on Channel 4’s ‘Opera-tunity’ which was a nationwide search to find someone with no operatic experience to sing at the London Coliseum alongside world-class performers.
Funky Monks have performed at large venues around the UK and offer a selection of rock, pop and soul over the last four decades.
The RFL’s Marketing Manager Phil Williams said: “Performances from Kinch, Donna-Marie Povey and Funky Monks will provide the perfect build up to the much anticipated Co-operative Championship Finals Day.
“The three games provide the perfect climax to the season, and we urge supporters to get to their seats early to avoid missing out on any of the pre-match entertainment.”
Fans attending the Finals Day in Warrington will also have the opportunity to win two tickets to the Gillette Four Nations Final which takes place at Elland Road, Leeds on November 14.
