Hunslet re-sign PNG stars
Hunslet Hawks RLFC are pleased to announce that they have managed to keep hold of their 3 star Papua New Guinea Internationals.
Michael Mark, Charlie Wabo and Nico Slain all put pen to paper yesterday on new 1 year deals for the 2010 season.
All 3 will fly home in October to take part in their International trials and will return to the UK in January.
Director of Rugby Darren Williams said "It's great news that the trio will return to the Hawks next season, they have brought a different culture to the club and fans, team members and sponsors have bought into the concept they bring to the club."
Williams added "Michael Mark has been an outstanding success and has proved to be a real cult hero with the supporters, Nico and Charlie have both suffered frustrating season's with various injuries but will both return fit and raring to go and I am sure we will see their real qualities as they now know what to expect when they return for their 2nd season with the club."
Nico Slain said "I owe this club my life and I will return fit next season with a desire in my heart to repay the faith the club has shown in getting me over this injury, this is a good club with good people behind it and I aim to come back to the UK because I have some unfinished business to let the Hawks supporters see the real Nico Slain playing in the famous Myrtle & Flame shirt."
