England Wheelchair Tag RL squad named

The RFL has named the England Wheelchair Tag Rugby League squad for their international against France at Brunel University on Friday August 28.
The squad features seven members of last year’s successful World Cup winning team together with three new England debutants and is made up of players from the Halifax, Bury and Wigan teams aged between 15 and 38.
England Wheelchair Head Coach Phil Roberts said: “We’re all looking forward to facing the French again following our exciting 26-18 victory over them in the World Cup in Australia last year.
“The team has been picked from the recently formed talent selection squad and there are a few new faces in there. The talent development squad have been meeting on a monthly basis and we’ve seen some real benefits in player development.
“It should be a great occasion, for those who have never seen Wheelchair Tag Rugby League before I can strongly recommend the sport, it’s fast moving and there is no shortage of collisions.”
Entry for the clash which kicks off at 7:30pm is free.
