Thunder Announce Quarter Final Date & Prices

Carnegie Challenge Cup, Quarter Final V St Helens - 6pm Saturday 30 May, Gateshead International Stadium
Gateshead Thunder announce ticket prices and match date for their Quarter Final Challenge Cup tie against holders St Helens.
Gateshead Thunder's Challenge Cup campaign returns to the Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday 30 May 2009 with a 6pm Kick Off. This was the date and time of Thunder's home match against Toulouse which will be postponed to a later date.
This is arguably the biggest match in the club's history but certainly the biggest since Thunder's one season in Super League. A good crowd and a fantastic atmosphere is expected. The club will be opening the East Stand for away fans and the Tyne & Wear stand for corporate and home fans. Corporate entertainment will be held at the nearby Hilton Hotel with executive coach transfer to the stadium.
Thunder Chief Executive, Rod Findlay, announced the match date:
"I am absolutely delighted to be welcoming St Helens to Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday 30 May. The North East sports fans have been crying out for top level rugby league and it doesn't get much bigger than Challenge Cup holders, St Helens. St Helens are known world wide for their history in rugby league and the famous white kit with red chevron is a sporting icon. I remember watching St Helens on TV as a boy.
This should be a great day out for the fans and is an opportunity for the players to play against some of the best in the business. It is a team full of internationals but if St Helens want to get to the Semi Finals they will need to come and beat us and Thunder will be working hard to get a result."
Ticket prices have been agreed with St Helens as £5 for concessions and £15 for adults although adults can benefit with cheaper tickets of £13 for advance purchase tickets. Tickets are available online on www.ThunderRugby.com. From Friday, tickets will also be available in person from Gateshead Thunder's offices at Gateshead International Stadium in normal office hourse. Away fan tickets can be purchased direct from St Helens.
