RFL invited to speak at prestigious UK Coaching Summit
Members of the RFL’s Coaching and Performance Department will be guest speakers at the fourth annual UK Coaching Summit which takes place in Glasgow at the end of the month.
The Summit entitled ‘Delivery the Goals’ is a key event in the drive to build a World Leading Coaching System by 2016 and this year will feature cutting edge debate on Coaching development, highlighting how the Coaching industry has evolved over the last three years and feature examples of good practice.
More then 500 people are expected to attend and RFL Coaching Manager, Vinny Webb will be one of the main speakers delivering a ground breaking presentation on how modelling systems can guide coaching workforce planning and development.
Vinny Webb, RFL Coaching Manager, said: “I’m delighted that the RFL has been asked to be so heavily involved in this conference. It is testament to the hard work and success of the team that we will be able to showcase our best practice to such a wide and influential audience.
“I will be delivering a presentation on using modelling to guide Coaching Workforce planning and development and will present on how the Rugby League coach and player fits into this successful framework, an area the RFL is considered to be at the forefront of.”
As well as Vinny Webb’s guest speaking slot, the RFL’s Coaching Programme Officer Arvinder Kaur will lead a workshop on how coaching courses can be made accessible to all candidates.
Arvinder and her colleague Craig Richards – a club and coach development officer – are currently supporting a tetraplegic candidate through a Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Rugby League Course coaching course and it is this that Arvinder will be speaking about at the conference.
