Priestley College struck an early blow in the race for the Carnegie Colleges North West title after seeing off reigning champions St Helens College 16 – 19.

Pendleton College in partnership with Salford Reds opened their league campaign in fine style racking up 12 try’s on their way to record 64-4 victory over a committed Lancaster & Morecambe College. Top performances of the day came from two try James tenant.
