The RFL have continued to improve the fantastic opportunities for volunteering within the game by announcing that they have joined forces with “v” the young volunteers organisation.

 

The three year programme - which is run in conjunction with the Student Rugby League - is aimed at attracting large numbers of young people into volunteering within Rugby League.

 

All three parties were represented at a half time presentation at last months Carnegie Challenge Cup Final at Wembley. In attendance was Richard Lewis, Executive Chairman of the RFL, Rod Aldridge, Chair of “v” and Matt Jeffrey, Director of the Student Rugby League. They were also joined by James Stott from Shaw Cross Sharks ARLFC who was recently crowned “National Young Volunteer of the Year.”
