Terms and Conditions
1. General Terms
1.1 Promoter Niel Wood, Red Hall, Red Hall Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS17 8NB. Licensed by the Gambling Commission www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk
1.2 The purpose is to raise funds for community clubs and Rugby League playing schools as well as the Rugby League Foundation.
1.3 The raffle is run on behalf of the Rugby League Foundation by the Rugby Football League Ltd.
1.4 Each ticket will cost £1 with clubs/schools retaining 70p for every ticket sold. 30p from each sale should be returned to the Rugby League Foundation.
1.5 The raffle will run from Monday 18th June until Monday 5th November 2012.
1.6 The draw will take place on Wednesday 14th November 2012.
1.7 It is the responsibility of all clubs and schools to return sold ticket stubs to the Rugby Football League on or before Monday 5th November 2012.
1.8 Any tickets not returned to the Rugby Football League on or before 5th November 2012 will not be entered into the prize draw.
1.9 The Rugby Football League accept no liability for lost or damaged tickets
1.10 Without exception no club or school may keep the full value of £1 per ticket.
1.11 The Rugby Football League will keep records of all tickets sent to clubs and schools, any unsold tickets must be returned. Failure to do so may result in your club/school being disqualified from participating in future raffles.
1.12 Please note that these terms and conditions may be revised and reissued without notice at any time by updating this posting. The terms and conditions were last updated on 13 June 2012.
2.1 Tickets can only be purchased by UK residents aged 16 years or over. Any entrant who is found to be under the age of 16 will not be eligible to win prizes.
2.2 Only Community Rugby League Clubs and Rugby League playing schools are eligible to sell tickets and keep the proceeds.
2.3 The Rugby Football League reserve the right to select organisations or individuals who are entitled to sell tickets to the general public.
2.4 No person employed in full or part by the Rugby Football League can purchase raffle tickets.
3.1 The first prize is 5 days in New York plus £500 spending money. The prize is provided by the Rugby League Foundation.
3.2 The winner of the first prize will be determined by drawing at random a ticket from all tickets submitted on or before 5th November 2012.
3.3 All subsequent prizes will also be drawn at random from the remaining eligible tickets.
3.4 There is no cash alternative to prizes.
3.5 There will be early bird prizes for the club/school who sells the most tickets in the designated period of time.
3.6 There will be yearly prizes for the clubs and schools who sell the most raffle tickets over the duration of the raffle.
3.7 In the event of a tie in the monthly or yearly prizes the Rugby Football League will decide how the prize will be allocated.
3.8 Prize winner(s) will be notified within 14 days of winning. All prizes are at the discretion of the Promoter. Winning Entrants, will have to respond to notification within 30 days of receipt. Non-compliance will result in the disqualification of an Entrant as a winner and prizes may be re-offered or deferred.
3.9 Winners agree that neither the Rugby Football League or their employees shall have any liability in connection with the acceptance or use of any of the prizes. The Rugby Football League will endeavour to ensure that all prizes are fulfilled or provide a prize of equivalent value.
3.10 All winners by accepting any prize as a result of buying a raffle ticket will agree to take part in any publicity associated with the winning of such prize.
3.11 A list of winners will be made available on the website and sent to all participating clubs and schools.
3.12 The winning raffle tickets must be made available to the Rugby Football League when claiming a prize. Failure to do so may result in the claim being denied and the raffle will be redrawn for that prize.
3.13 All prizes are subject to availablity.
