Club Constitution
In order for a sports club to be appropriately administered and regulated it is essential that a club has a constitution.
This is often a pre-requisite of grant aid bodies and key funding programmes before they will consider investing in your sports club.
A club constitution can be a simple document that outlines the club’s functions, membership procedures, meeting cycles, committees and so on.
Having a constitution will help to clarify how the club's procedures should work and it is important the constitution does not preclude membership to anyone on discriminatory grounds.
To assist club in the process of becoming constituted the RFL has created a Model Constitution.
It is a template allowing you to develop your own document without having to write it from scratch.
It also ensures your constitution meet RFL requirements.
