RFL launches third community raffle

RFL launches third community raffle

The RFL are delighted to announce the launch of the 2010 Community Game Raffle.

Following on from the hugely successful raffles staged in 2008 and 2009 the RFL’s Community Game Services department are again running a raffle which is designed to raise funds for both the clubs who sell the tickets and the Rugby League Foundation charity.

As with previous years there are some great prizes on offer with a five night trip to New York on offer as the first prize.

“After two successful raffles we really thought we should carry it on for a third year,” said Kelly Barrett, Community Game Services Manager.

“Thanks to Virgin Atlantic and Intercontinental Hotel Group we’ve been able to come up with a fantastic first prize and I am sure many people will be wanting the chance to win a trip to New York.”

“Just like in previous years both the clubs and leagues who sell the tickets will be able to raise some funds from the raffle, whilst a great organisation like the Rugby League Foundation will also benefit.”

The monies from the £1 ticket sales are split between the selling organistion (60p) and the RL Foundation (40p), although clubs and leagues who have signed up to the RFL’s partnership agreements will receive a higher 75% back from sales.
