The Champion Schools tournament is the world's biggest Rugby League knockout competition and one of the greatest success stories for the sport.
Open to every secondary school in England, Wales and Scotland – the tournament was re-launched back in 2002 by the RFL and the English Schools Rugby League.
Due to the success of the Champion Schools competition, Rugby League in schools is growing. The RFL recently launched Sky Try - a new partnership between the RFL and Sky to give 700,000 more children the chance to start and succeed in the sport.
Champion Schools continues to be the flagship schools competition - featuring hundreds of schools and thousands of young people and supporting the development of the next generation of players. Many England players, past ans present, played in the competition.
