McNamara makes Year 11 cup draw
England head coach Steve McNamara was on hand to conduct the Champion Schools Year 11 quarter-final draw.
Held at the RFL’s headquarters in Leeds, the draw also featured Jon Roberts, the RFL’s Director of Performance & Coaching.
Highlights of the draw include a Yorkshire derby between Whitcliffe Mount (Bradford) and South Holderness (Hull), whilst four times winners Outwood Grange (Wakefield) will face either St Benedict or Haydock High if they can overcome Welsh side St Johns.
Champion Schools Year 11 quarter-final draw:
Whitcliffe Mount (Yorkshire) v South Holderness (Yorkshire)
Outwood Grange (Yorkshire) or St Johns (Wales) v St Benedicts (Cumbria) or Haydock High (North West)
St Peters (North West) v Brentwood (London) or Beamont Collegiate Academy (North West)
Burton Borough (Midlands) or Whitehaven (Cumbria) v St Johns (North East) or Castleford High (Yorkshire)
All ties to be played by Tuesday April 23.
